Alumni

Welcome, Bantam Alumni!

Trinity College is fortunate to have a robust alumni network that plays an active role in supporting career exploration. We believe in the power of the community formed by our exceptional alumni.

Resources for Alumni

The Career & Life Design Center offers comprehensive, individual advising services to current students and alumni.

Meet our Alumni Career Consultant, Paul Gagnon M’01! Schedule a time to meet with Paul via Handshake.

PAUL GAGNON M’01,
ALUMNI CAREER CONSULTANT

In addition to helping alums navigate the job search or apply to graduate school as a recent graduate, Paul will also assist alums with building their résumés, writing cover letters, creating a LinkedIn profile, networking, interviewing, and negotiating.

Important information about scheduling an Appointment on Handshake:

  • If you are a recent alum, you may already be familiar with Handshake, Trinity’s career center platform and should use your Trinity credentials to log in.
  • For alums who are not familiar with Handshake, or if you graduated prior to 2014, please watch this helpful 2-minute instructional video for setting up a Handshake account with your personal email.
  • Once logged in to Handshake, schedule an appointment by selecting the “Alumni Career/Graduate School Advising” option (watch this helpful 2-minute video for guidance).
  • If you are having issues accessing or logging into Handshake, please contact careers@trincoll.edu for support.

Confidentiality Agreement: All coaching appointments are kept confidential to the Trinity College Career & Life Design Center. The Career & Life Design Center staff are expected to follow all confidentiality protocols, including the Handshake User Agreement. Any information entered in the Handshake database is only accessible by the individual user (Trinity alum) and by Career & Life Design staff, who utilize Handshake to record notes during individual coaching appointments, to summarize their session and to prepare for any future meetings.

Need a copy of your transcript for a job or graduate school application? You can request copies here.

Hire a Bantam

Your participation is a terrific way to help us expand career opportunities to students and other alumni, an investment that will benefit them now and throughout their future careers. We invite you to actively support students and fellow alumni as they explore career paths, enter the workforce post-graduation, or transition to new careers.

Questions related to posting a job or internship? Please contact Severn Sandt.

Alumni can share opportunities with Trinity students and alumni through our career development platform, Handshake. Jobs submitted to Handshake should be appropriate for undergraduates seeking internships or entry-level jobs.  Click here to get started. Click on “Employer” and complete the employer registration form. Be sure to select Trinity College so that you connect with our system directly. With your employer account, you can share information about your company, post job/internship opportunities, and schedule an on-campus recruiting visit. Alums who would like to post jobs right for more seasoned alumni should post them to the Job Board on the Bantam Career Network.

If your organization has open internships or jobs, but you cannot hire directly, speak with your Human Resources representative about posting to Handshake and connecting with us.

If you’d like to refer an employer, please share your recommendation with our office. We would love to hear from you! You can also speak with your referral and suggest they post to Handshake directly.

Get Involved

Alumni play a critical role in supporting Trinity students as they explore potential careers. Sharing your advice, insights, and experiences has a significant impact on a student’s career and life design journey. We invite you to partner with us for student-alumni engagement opportunities throughout the year.

The Bantam Career Network (BCN) is a web-based platform that connects alumni to their fellow graduates and current students. Signing up for a BCN account indicates your interest in supporting other bantams through networking and sharing career advice. The BCN provides a platform to offer guidance, pose questions, and join groups based on Trinity affiliations. It also allows you to indicate your availability for informational conversations online, on the phone, and in person.

Students search for alumni based on industry, location, areas of expertise. The BCN will not be the same without you.

Go to http://bcn.trincoll.edu to start networking!

  • Alumni Panels & Networking Events. Join us as a panelist or alumni attendee to share career advice and network with students.
  • Employer Treks. Host a career trek at your company, so that students can receive a 360-view of your organization.

If you’re interested in volunteering for any of the above opportunities, please contact Severn Sandt, Senior Assistant Director of Strategic Partnerships and Outreach.
